SFTC Ukrinterenergo has paid its indebtedness for electricity purchased from the wholesale electricity market

On April 27, 2010 SFTC Ukrinterenergo repaid its indebtedness to SE Energorynok for electricity purchased during
November 2009 – March 2010 amounting to UAH 206.137 million.

The debt repayment was made by means of refund from the state budget of Ukraine in its VAT debt accumulated during 2009.
Untimely VAT refund for electricity export transactions over past periods resulted in the Company’s indebtedness for electricity purchased from the wholesale electricity market.
According to the Company’s calculations, estimated VAT amount to be refunded from the state budget of Ukraine over the 1st quarter of 2010 will be UAH 97.750 million.
